CHALET RULES
(06-2025)
We are more than happy to have you!
As hosts, our goal is to ensure that you have as comfortable a stay as possible. Our wish is that you and your guests can forge lasting memories during your stay in our lodge.
But to do this, we ask you to follow the lodge rules. Agree with you, rules are boring … But these rules ensure that we can provide you and future customers with a great experience.
GENERAL
- Compliance with the rules: Failure to comply with the rules may result in penalties detailed in the General Conditions of Sale.
- Liability: The Lessee is responsible for the actions of all occupants and visitors.
- Use of property: Furniture and objects must be used for their intended purpose. The Lessee is responsible for any damage caused to the rented premises, including the grounds and outdoor equipment.
- Cleanliness: Additional cleaning fees may be charged if necessary.
- Local wildlife: The occasional presence of small animals or insects in the chalet is normal in a rural environment and does not constitute grounds for refund or cancellation. Diligent precautions were taken to prevent these visitors from infiltrating the chalet.
NUMBER OF PERSONS
- Capacity: Respect the number of people indicated in the contract. Any additional person, for one or more nights or visits during your stay, must be approved in advance by the Lessor.
- Gatherings: Parties, gatherings, and receptions of any kind are prohibited without prior authorization.
CIGARETTE OR ILLICIT SUBSTANCES
- No Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside the chalet.
- Outside: Cigarette butts must be disposed of in appropriate containers.
- Drugs: The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited.
PARTIES, MUSIC AND SOUND NOISE
- Music: Our chalet is in a small community where respect is important. Music must be played in an acceptable manner (do not disturb the neighbors).
- Around and on the lake: No loud music on or near the lake. The lake is a resonating chamber, and noise travels very easily.
- Quiet Hours: Keep noise to a minimum between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
- Fireworks: Strictly prohibited.
IN THE CHALET
- Shoes: Remove your shoes inside.
- Doors and Windows: Keep exterior doors closed and ensure that doors, patio doors, and windows are securely closed in case of rain or when you are away.
- Indoor Prohibitions:
- Do not eat in the bedrooms.
- Do not use propane, gasoline, or fondue fuel inside.
- Do not access locked rooms without authorization.
- Do not subscribe to or download paid content through the provided accounts (Netflix, etc.).
FURNITURE AND SURFACES
- Surface Protection: Use trivets, placemats, or coasters to protect furniture and surfaces from hot objects or other breakage.
- Use: Furniture and objects available to the Lessee must be treated with care and used only for their intended purpose, including the grounds and outdoor equipment.
WATER MANAGEMENT
- Proper Toilet Use: Only flush toilet paper down the toilet. Sanitary products, diapers, wipes, tampons, sanitary napkins, tissues, etc., must be disposed of in the designated bins.
- Water Consumption: As water is a precious resource in rural areas, please use it responsibly to prevent the well from drying up. The well can easily accommodate normal use for approximately ten people. Therefore, in the event of misuse, the Lessor will not accept these reasons as grounds for canceling a rental and/or requesting a refund.
- Water Supply: The chalet is supplied by an artesian well. This precious resource is not in unlimited supply. Therefore, you should prioritize:
- Quick showers spread throughout the day.
- Avoid baths.
- Avoid outdoor watering.
- Minimize washing machine use.
- Maximize lake water; it is in unlimited supply.
PETS
- On a case-by-case basis: Owner authorization is required. We sometimes make exceptions for small dogs, depending on their coat type (for allergy reasons), temperament, and the environment.
- Conditions to follow:
- Pets are not allowed on sofas or beds at any time.
- All waste must be picked up on the property and disposed of properly.
OUTDOOR HOT TUB (SPA)
- Hygiene: Be sure to shower with soap before using the spa to remove any cream, lotion, or other body product residue.
- Use:
- Intended for a maximum of 6-7 people.
- Do not bring glass containers into or around the spa.
- Do not use the spa while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Do not dive or jump into the spa.
- Do not walk, sit, or lie on the spa cover.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- At your own risk; we are not responsible for accidents or injuries.
- After Use:
- Place the contents of one container of powder in the spa after each day of use. The container is located in the tray at the top of the spa.
- Close the spa cover to maintain the temperature and ensure safety.
- Restrictions: Spa use is prohibited for persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs, children under 5 years of age, pregnant women, or persons with heart problems or health problems without medical advice.
BOATS
- Boats or motorboats: Prohibited on the lake.

- Outdoor Fire Pit:
- Never leave a fire unattended.
- Lighting fires outside the designated area is prohibited.
- Make sure outdoor fires are permitted during your stay.
- Cabins: No access.

DEPARTURE
- Time: Departure no later than 11:00 a.m.

- Towels: Please hang all used towels, table linens, or wipes on hooks in the bathrooms or entryway to dry.
- Turn Off and Close: Close the windows, turn off the lights, air conditioning, and all electronic devices, and lock the doors.
WINTER AT THE CHALET
- Safety: The Lessee is responsible for clearing the front and rear steps to ensure access to the exits. Shovels are provided.
- 4×4 vehicle: Use is not mandatory, but recommended. Despite snow removal, the snow cover can be deep.
- Outdoor fireplace area: Snow removal at the Lessee’s discretion.
- Beware of snow falling from the roof:
- Snow or ice may fall off the sloping roof. These falls can be dangerous.
- Avoid parking or driving under the roof slopes.
- These falls produce a deafening and surprising sound.
- If snow accumulates during the stay, the Lessee must:
- Move vehicles to facilitate snow removal by the snowplow.
- Ensure a wide enough passage for the snowplow.
- Use the parking spaces near the chalet.
- Ice: Salt and sand bins are available.
- Lake: Access at your own risk.
And most importantly: have fun!
Please treat our lodge with the same respect as you would your own home.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if anything is unclear or if you have any questions to avoid misunderstandings.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and for being a great guest!
Have a good stay!
