CHALET RULES
(08-2025)
We are more than happy to have you!
As hosts, our goal is to ensure that you have as comfortable a stay as possible. Our wish is that you and your guests can forge lasting memories during your stay in our lodge.
But to do this, we ask you to follow the lodge rules. Agree with you, rules are boring … But these rules ensure that we can provide you and future customers with a great experience.
GENERAL
- Compliance with the rules: Failure to comply with the rules may result in penalties detailed in the General Conditions of Sale.
- Liability: The Lessee is responsible for the actions of all occupants and visitors.
- Use of property: Furniture and objects must be used for their intended purpose. The Lessee is responsible for any damage caused to the rented premises, including the grounds and outdoor equipment.
- Cleanliness: Additional cleaning fees may be charged if necessary.
- Local wildlife: The occasional presence of small animals or insects in the chalet is normal in a rural environment and does not constitute grounds for refund or cancellation. Diligent precautions were taken to prevent these visitors from infiltrating the chalet.
USE OF THE CHALET
- Capacity: Respect the number of people indicated in the contract. Any additional person, for one or more nights or visits during your stay, must be approved in advance by the owners.
- Mechanical Room: Access is strictly reserved for emergencies and requires prior authorization. A key is available on the black panel located on the side of the refrigerator.
- Security Cameras: For the security of the premises, a camera is integrated into the front doorbell as well as two cameras in the parking lot.
- Commercial Use: Use of the chalet for commercial purposes (filming, events, photo shoots, etc.) is prohibited without prior approval.
CIGARETTE OR ILLICIT SUBSTANCES
- No Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside the chalet.
- Outside: Cigarette butts must be disposed of in appropriate containers.
- Drugs: The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited.
PARTIES AND NOISE DISTURBANCE
- Gatherings: Parties, gatherings, and receptions of any kind are prohibited without prior authorization.
- Music: Our cottage is in a small community where respect is important. Music must be played in an acceptable manner (do not disturb neighbors).
- Around and on the lake: No loud music on or near the lake. The lake is a resonance chamber, and noise travels very easily.
- Quiet Hours: Keep noise to a minimum between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
- Fireworks: Strictly prohibited.
- Decorations: Confetti and other decorations (indoor or outdoor) are prohibited without prior authorization.
IN THE CHALET
- Shoes: Remove your shoes inside.
- Doors and Windows: Keep exterior doors closed and ensure that doors, patio doors, and windows are securely closed in case of rain or when you are away.
- Indoor Prohibitions:
- Do not eat in the bedrooms.
- Do not use propane, gasoline, or fondue fuel inside.
- Do not access locked rooms without authorization.

FURNITURE AND SURFACES
- Surface Protection: Use trivets, placemats, or coasters to protect furniture and surfaces from hot objects or other breakage.
- Use: Furniture and objects available to the Lessee must be treated with care and used only for their intended purpose, including the grounds and outdoor equipment.
WATER MANAGEMENT
- Proper Toilet Use: Only flush toilet paper down the toilet. Sanitary products, diapers, wipes, tampons, sanitary napkins, tissues, etc., must be disposed of in the designated bins.
- Water Consumption: As water is a precious resource in rural areas, please use it responsibly to prevent the well from drying up. The well can easily accommodate normal use for approximately ten people. Therefore, in the event of misuse, the Lessor will not accept these reasons as grounds for canceling a rental and/or requesting a refund.
- Water Supply: The chalet is supplied by an artesian well. This precious resource is not in unlimited supply. Therefore, you should prioritize:
- Quick showers spread throughout the day.
- Avoid baths.
- Avoid outdoor watering.
- Minimize washing machine use.
- Maximize lake water; it is in unlimited supply.
PETS
- On a case-by-case basis: Owner authorization is required. We sometimes make exceptions for small dogs, depending on their coat type (for allergy reasons), temperament, and the environment.
- Conditions to follow:
- Pets are not allowed on sofas or beds at any time.
- All waste must be picked up on the property and disposed of properly.
OUTDOOR HOT TUB (SPA)

- Do not use the spa while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Do not dive or jump into the spa.
